BALTUSSEN is in a seasonal business. In the harvest season (June-November) the vegetables arrive from the farmlands. This means close watch on logistics, quality and production. Different shifts working peas, beans, carrots, broad beans, corn and other fresh products. The products are preserved in glass jars in different sizes. No preservatives are used. The products experience within the glass jar a thermal treatment. This treatment (sterilization or pasteurization) gives the products a long shelf life (at least 4 years), but most of all makes the product ready for use. We try to build a stock so that all products can be delivered all year round. Our products are found as private labels or as our own brands at wholesalers and retailers. [Did You Know? Many people think that vegetables in glass jars are less healthy than fresh vegetables. Our vegetables are more fresh and processed faster than the vegetables grocery or market hall. Why? The vegetables and also fruits come directly from the land, are cleaned and processed. This means that for example a pea arrives in a glass jar within 6 hours after being on the farmland. At the grocery store or market a sale is often after 24 hours.] Our products are available in many supermarkets. I.e. peas, carrots, applesauce, green beans, peas, sweet corn and white beans. BALTUSSEN has a number of its own brands such as Betuws Roem, Baltu and participates in the products and brand of BIO+. |
